About AMS

ORGANIZATION

The American Meditation Society was founded in 1976 and  is a non-profit 501(c)(3), non-sectarian, educational organization devoted to offering meditation classes, retreats and preserving the universal teachings of Gururaj Ananda Yogi (1932-1988).

Its members under the leadership of Kenton Yeager and Lauren Lambert maintain AMS on a volunteer basis.  It s affiliated with sister organizations and teachers in Canada, England, Denmark, Spain, Belgium, and Ireland. AMS conducts meditation retreats in various locations throughout the United States and offers teacher training courses to train and certify teachers to help those looking for help in understanding how the mind works. All are welcome.
