The American Meditation Society Center for Peace and Unfoldment

We made it! AMS to build a national center in Knoxville, TN.

We are excited to announce that we made and surpassed our initial fundraising goal to build the American Meditation Society for Peace and Unfoldment. Thank you all who helped with the campaign and to those who generously donated to the fund. We will receive our 50-to-1 match, taking us to our goal of $1,500.000. A special thanks to our lead donor Lee for his amazing generosity. We are continuing our open fundraising for anyone who would like to be a part of this effort. There is still plenty to do (and to buy) once we have the facility, think beds, kitchen and dining room equipment, office computers, sound and video gear…you get the idea.

Fundraising Details:

Our $30,000 in 30 days campaign has concluded. As of this moment, we have received donations totaling $37,973.  Of that total, $31,973 came from our meditators and loved ones – more than 150 individuals.
The other $6,000 came from AMS-Knoxville, AMS-NY, the Irish Meditation Society, and the British Meditation Society, who each gave very generously on behalf of their members.
Thank you all so much – so many of you dug deep and helped this campaign succeed.

The team is swinging in to action, and we’ll have more to report soon, starting with an update at the AMS National retreat July 7-12 in St. Louis.  We hope to see you there – there is still time to register!

Center Mission Statement:

The AMS Center for Peace and Unfoldment will provide instruction in meditation as taught by the founder of AMS, Gururaj Ananda Yogi through classes and courses.

It will work to preserve and share the universal teachings of Gururaj with integrity and wisdom.

The center will provide a physical place where those who wish to nurture peace and unfold the inner self, may do so in a nurturing environment.

The AMS National Center will:

  • Be the official legal and operational office for the organization.
  • Serve as the primary location for national, regional, and local courses/retreats.
  • Be equipped to hold live webinar courses and stream programming as it develops.
  • Offer all levels of meditation classes taught by AMS certified teachers.
  • Be the center for teacher training and certification.
  • Work to partner with local likeminded organizations.
  • Be a base to connect with local groups in need of these practices and teachings.
  • Run all sales and shipping of books, audio content, and merchandise.
  • House and curate Guru Raj’s works as they are collected and donated.
  • House all institutional documents.
  • House the original media archives in a secure vault

Give yourself the blessing of joining us at this moment of pure potential as we create something wonderful.
